This is Kara. Believe me, he stood no chance against her. I have seen her beat much stronger guys who were trying, but she is very strong, fast and very skillful. He should have given up as soon as she got his elbows tied behind his back, but he stupidly continued to struggle, even though he had already lost at that point. It was only a matter of time before he was fully hog tied. He got off relatively lightly with the punishment she gave him.
Not an act, but in many of these bouts, depending on the guy's personality, they won't go 100% and oftentimes put up a reasonable fight but are "into" being overpowered by the woman and allow themselves to be defeated. But I must say, the woman was no slouch and certainly knew her technique and what she was doing!
I don't think he was going at 100%, but if you look closely, he was totally taken by surprise. Notice how she quickly noosed his left arm and then let up to allow him to not pay attention to it. Then she quickly ran the rope behind his back to the other side and then concentrated on looping his right arm. He was totally unaware of the connection between his right and left arm. Then when she flipped him over and pulled the rope, it was like "WTF?" on his part. Then once she immobilized his arms and was still sitting on him, it was basically a done deal. I can tell that she was mentally prepared for this match and her goal from the beginning was to immobilize his arms. Some go for the legs first, but this is not wise, as it allows the opponent to use their arms. Arms tied behind the back with the opponent on his stomach is the most vulnerable position. Terrific strategy and execution on the woman's part. A truly fabulous video. Are there more videos of this incredible woman?
